Bonfire night 2026 falls on Thursday 5 November, and Redbridge’s organised displays have settled on the two nights after it. Woodford Rugby Club fires on Friday 6 November. Wanstead RFC and the Woodford Wells Club both go on Saturday 7 November. All three are in Woodford Green, all three are ticketed, and all three have tickets on sale now.

Family tickets cover two adults and two children at all three. Redbridge Council does not run a display of its own, and the borough’s only free fireworks this year are at the Ilford Christmas lights switch-on on 21 November.

Woodford Rugby Club: Friday 6 November

The club’s 2026 event page confirms the display at Highams, High Road, Woodford Green, IG8 9LB on Friday 6 November. Gates open at 6pm, last entry is 7.50pm and the fireworks “begin promptly at 8.00pm”. Hot food is on from 6pm, there is an outside bar in the car park as well as the clubhouse bar, and a DJ plays until the bar closes at midnight.

Tickets are online only: £20 adult, £15 child (up to age 16), and £45 for a family of two adults and two children. Each ticket carries a QR code scanned at the gate. When we checked on 5 October the page showed only 1 family ticket left, with 14 adult and 38 child tickets remaining; on 3 October it was 2, 17 and 38, and on 28 September it had 16 family, 93 adult and 137 child tickets. The 2025 display sold out, and this one is close to doing the same five weeks out.

Read the conditions before you book. The club says under-18s must be with an adult aged 25 or over, each adult can bring no more than two under-18s, and proof of age means a passport or driving licence only. You cannot bring your own alcohol.

It is a no-parking event. Disabled drivers, or anyone with a disabled passenger, are asked to email the clubhouse manager at manager@woodfordrugbyclub.com to arrange parking or drop-off.

This is a price rise on last year, when the club charged £15 adult, £8 child and £40 family.

Wanstead RFC: Saturday 7 November

Wanstead RFC announced its Fireworks Night 2026 on 10 September, at Centenary Field, Roding Lane North, Woodford Green, IG8 8JY, on Saturday 7 November from 6pm to 11pm. The club lists fireworks, fairground rides, a hog roast, food and craft stalls and an outside bar.

It is the cheapest of the three by a distance: £25 family (two adults and two children), £9 adult, £6 child. It is also the only one selling parking: premium parking at £5, with the club warning that space “is extremely limited”. Tickets and parking are booked together on the club’s tickets page.

The club has not published a firing time. With a 6pm opening, expect it in the early evening, and check the club’s news page in the week of the event.

Woodford Wells Club: Saturday 7 November

The Woodford Wells Club’s 2026 fireworks listing puts the display at Monkhams Lane, Woodford Green, IG8 0NL on Saturday 7 November, with the event running 5pm to 11.30pm.

The early bird prices, held at last year’s level for anyone who booked before 1 September, have sold out. Current prices are £22 adult, £12 child (under 16) and £50 family (two adults and two children), and ticket sales close at 11.30pm on Friday 6 November. The listing does not give a firing time; in 2023, according to the old Visit Epping Forest listing below, the display went up at about 7.30pm.

Note the web address. The club’s site is woodfordwellsclub.co.uk. The woodfordwells.club address that some directories give did not respond when we checked.

A trap worth knowing

Visit Epping Forest still carries listings for the Woodford Rugby Club and Woodford Wells Club displays with no year in the headline. They are the 2022 and 2023 events, with those years’ dates and prices, and both end “Sorry, this event has passed”. Use the clubs’ own pages above.

Redbridge Council does not run one

The council’s listings site, Discover Redbridge, has no fireworks display or bonfire on it. Its public position on bonfire night is safety advice: its Stay safe this Bonfire Night page tells residents to “attend an organised display instead of holding your own”, warns that retailers need a valid licence from Redbridge Council to sell fireworks, and suggests low-noise fireworks to reduce distress to animals.

Free fireworks: 21 November, in Ilford

The borough’s one free display is not on bonfire night. Christmas inIlford, on Saturday 21 November 2026 on the High Road, has the lights switch-on at 5.30pm and fireworks in a 5.30pm to 6.30pm slot, according to the Ilford BID’s Eventbrite listing. Getting there and parking

Woodford Rugby Club allows no parking and Wanstead RFC has a handful of £5 spaces, so plan on walking in or being dropped off. Roads around Woodford Green also carry the traffic displaced by the Broadmead Road bridge closure: the council’s project page says the bridge has been shut to vehicles since July 2023, affecting roughly 15,000 vehicle journeys a day.
